St. Mary's Good Samaritan, Incorporated contracts with Best Upon Request to improve work-life balance for employees, services offered to patients

 Mt. Vernon, Ill. – (BUSINESS WIRE) – March 22, 2010

Employees, physicians and volunteers of St. Mary's Good Samaritan, Incorporated (SMGSI) at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia, Ill., and Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon, Ill., now have access to an on-site concierge service provided by Best Upon Request, a national organization based in Cincinnati.  To help reduce the demands and stress of everyday life, more than 1,800 employees at SMGSI may contact the concierges to request errand running, car services, grocery shopping, event planning, information research and more. 

In addition to serving employees, physicians and volunteers, the concierge service is available to patients and guests to address non-clinical needs.  The complimentary concierge service is available to assist with making special arrangements for visitors, food requests, personal errand running and more.
